Alpine Tree Service is a proponent of the Plant Health Care (PHC) approach to tree health management. PHC is a comprehensive philosophy that takes into consideration all factors, living and nonliving, of the landscape environment that affect the wellbeing of plants. PHC is a proactive rather than reactive program that involves proper planning, (or thinning out in established landscapes), diverse plant selection, soil conditions, and various other cultural practices aimed at reducing dependence on pesticides and other synthetic treatments. Within the context of PHC, a vital component is integrated Pest Management (IPM). Alpine Tree Service employs the principles of IPM in our management of tree health. These action and ideals are designed to prevent and/or mitigate pests and disease in the most environmentally responsible way possible.
